Opening ceremonies for Old Time Saturday will be at 9:00 am and the festival will continue until 6:00 pm with entertainment throughout the day. A street dance will follow, after the other festivities close down.

"Old Time Saturday offers a variety of sights, sounds and smells to stimulate the senses. The delicious smell of food from the various vendors floats through the air, bringing back memories of childhood when the county fair came to town and you thought you were going to starve before you got to the food. It's just as good now as it was way back then. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, pinto beans and corn bread, and even fried green tomatoes." Says Nancy Tullock, Event Producer

Entertainment will continue all day and will feature a funny skit, karate exhibitions, along with clogging, area entertainers, country and gospel groups. The music is foot-stomping, toe-tapping good and makes you want to jump up and dance or sing along. There will also be gospel songs that everyone grew up with and will never forget. Several gospel groups, country singers and a variety of entertainers will be performing throughout the day, followed by the street dance. The cloggers put on a great show. Their feet move so fast that your eyes can't even keep up with them. Watch them and enjoy. Of course, we can't forget the Mississippi Squirrel skit, which will keep audience members laughing long after it is over. Everywhere visitors look they will see handmade crafts that can be used to decorate their home and yard. Fall and Christmas crafts alike can be found in booth after booth, with many talented artists displaying their work. Awards will be given for the three most decorative booths.

Children attending Old Time Saturday can have fun with lots of games. Among the many activities will be money in a haystack, an inflatable bouncer house and face painting. The Classic and Antique Car Show will be held in the old Shipe & Catlett parking lot. A People's Choice trophy will be given to the vehicle with the most votes, so be sure to vote for your favorite (only one vote per person). Trophies will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. You do not have to pre-register and there is no entry fee. Prizes will be given away throughout the day so be sure to sign up at the Old Time Saturday booth to be eligible to win. A grand prize will be given out at the end of the day. You must be present to win. You can also sign up to be on the OTS committee for next year and bring new ideas and suggestions to help make this day even better. Old Time Saturday t-shirts are also available for sale at this booth as well as information about the committee and the many activities that make up the festival.
